How much does an HVAC website cost in 2026?
Quick answer
An HVAC company website costs $49 to $650 a month from a done-for-you subscription provider (median $124 across 24 providers we track), $9 to $22 a month if you build it yourself, $399 a month and up inside a bundled marketing platform such as Thryv, or $3,000 to $8,000 up front from a custom agency. Horizon builds HVAC sites for $59 setup and $99 a month on a 12-month plan, live within 72 hours.
An HVAC owner on Reddit was quoted about $8,000 for a website and asked whether that was normal. It is normal. It is also about six years of a $99 a month subscription, for a site that does the same job.
Four price tiers, one job
| Way to buy | Typical monthly cost | Up-front | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Do it yourself (Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Mighty Sites) | $9 to $22 | $0 | Owners who will actually build and maintain it |
| Done-for-you subscription | $49 to $650, median $124 | $0 to $1,500 | One-to-ten-truck companies that want it handled |
| Bundled marketing platform (Thryv, Hibu, Scorpion) | $399 and up, often unpublished | Varies | Larger companies buying marketing, not just a site |
| Custom agency build | $25 to $150 for hosting after the build | $3,000 to $8,000 | Companies that need something a template cannot do |
The middle tiers are where most HVAC companies land, and the spread inside them is wide. Hello Web Designs’ own HVAC cost guide puts a monthly site at $150 to $300. Thryv’s first plan that includes a website is $399 a month plus $250 onboarding, and the website is a small part of what that buys.
What drives the price up
- Sales teams. Every provider in our index that publishes no price also requires a sales call. Six of 40 do. The call is where the quote gets sized to your budget.
- Bundling. Platforms attach the website to CRM, review management, ads or SEO on a 6 to 12 month contract. The site is the hook.
- Custom design. Weeks of designer time for a layout that, for an HVAC company, needs the same twelve things every time: services, service area, financing, emergency line, license and insurance, reviews, photos, a tap-to-call number.

Before you sign anywhere
Ask three questions: what is the total first-year cost including setup, what happens to the site if I cancel, and do I have to talk to someone to find out. The answers separate the providers in the table above more than the monthly price does. Ours are in Ownership and cancellation, in plain English.
